My New Planner

I am trying to get myself into gear for the New Year. I have already set out a  number of New Years resolutions, which I will discuss later. One of my resolutions is to be more organized, especially now that I am maintaining an active blog. I want to make sure that I keep track of all of my goals and ideas as well as my family's schedule.

I looked at a number of planners and I wanted to make sure that the planner not only allowed me to maintain a schedule, but also gave me room to keep notes and plan my blog posts accordingly. I was also hoping to combine the number of notebooks that I carried around with me into one.

I came across this beauty online. It is called a Color Crush Planner by Webster Pages. The reason I like it is because it has a number of tabs that allow you to keep notes, lists, track goals, plan ahead, and get inspired. It is also very beautiful. I was super excited when I received it in the mail. I couldn't wait to get started!

There are people out there who get all kinds of crazy decorating their planner, it's almost like a sub-culture!

There are also those who have the planner in every size and color!

A  Facebook group dedicated to those who love their Color Crush Planner, and I tell you, those ladies spend a lot of time decorating their planner. Hey, whatever keeps them inspired!

I have no intention of blinging out my planner. I just thought it was beautiful and practical.

You can't purchase the planner directly from Webster Pages. You actually have to get it from a retailer. I got mine on Etsy from My Rubber Stamp.  The total was $42, and that included shipping.

My husband once told me that planners are  very personal, and I totally agree. When looking for a planner you need to make sure you get one that fits your needs, whether it's a simple one or one that is a little more involved. Just make sure you weigh all of your options and figure out how much you may want to invest.

As for me, I am very happy with my planner and 2016 is going to be a beautiful year!

  1. I think I defi need a planner! I journal and scribble notes furiously down on pads, which of course end up tucked in little nooks and crannies. I like that you note how important it is to choose one that speaks to you!

    1. I know! I have like a ton of journals that I carry around with me and kinda waste space in my Awesome Mom Bag. I really needed to consolidate and this really helped.

  3. I'm big on planners! I tried out the Color Crush this year, but went back to my Erin Condren. Like you said, a planner is a personal thing, so which planner is right is really up to the person. I think since the Erin Condren LifePlanner was the first planner I had (other than planners that I used for school) it's totally become the right planner for me. (The layout felt natural to use when I first got it too.) I like to use washi tape to add a little pop of something on the sides and stuff and then I do have some stickers that I use to draw attention to things (like garbage day, when I work out, stuff like that), but other than that, I'm not a big decorator. Some people go all out but I think it would lose all functionality for me if every space was covered with a decoration. :)

Have fun with your new planner!

  7. I love this planner! I have one that I like because it's small enough to stuff into my purse but I don't use it nearly s much as I'd like to. Maybe I should invest in a new one in the coming year, too!

  9. I LOVE the Color Crush planner I've been dying to get a personal size one to replace my wallet for everyday use, and I can write grocery lists and errands for the day in it and have it with me at all times. For other things such as appointments and events, I recently got an ARC planner from staples and I love it! There are so many choices but I think I finally found the right one from me..with a couple of free printables I got from Pinterest, I made it look super cute already. It's strange to say but for me, decorating it with stickers and washi helps me to organize more, because it doesn't look so boring. I hope you love your color crush!! :)
